| Authors Night 2008 |
 We had a wonderful first ever Lansdowne Club evening on August 28th 2008 to meet Author Ber Carroll and enjoy fine Yalumba wine. Ber has been published in Ireland for a number of years and is now making a name for herself Down Under. High Potential has just been released this month with Pan Macmillan and will be followed by Executive Affair and Just Business in November. Her fourth book, The Better Woman, is scheduled for publication in April 2009 in Australia, Ireland and the UK. This mother of two has been living in Sydney since 1995 when she came over for a year with her then boyfriend and now husband – Rob. Originally a finance manager in the IT sector, Ber took up creative writing classes as a way of letting off steam from her high pressure job!! We also launched the Lansdowne Club Wine Dozen, a mixed selection of fine wines from Yalumba & affiliate wineries, ideal for your corporate or personal needs. The event was held at Charterhouse Partnership office, Level 10, 155 George Street, Sydney and we thank Phil O'Sullivan very much for that. Over 100 members came along to spend an evening with fellow Lansdowne Club members and enjoyed hearing the experience of one of our current members Ber Carroll. Some wonderful Yalumba wines were sampled thank you to Yaluma Wines. We look forward to another such evening. |
