The Lansdowne Club

The Lansdowne Club was formed in 1986 by a group of Irish born business people living in Australia. At the time there was no Irish business orientated focal point and this void was filled by the Lansdowne Club. The Club has developed significantly over the past twenty nine years. Today, many of our members hold significant positions within the largest corporations in Australia covering hundreds of industries. Our membership numbers are now close to 2,000 and are detailed in our online membership data base.

October's theme is

Networking
Our speaker is

Kinsgley Aikins

kingsley.fb.jpg
Kingsley was one of the founders of the Lansdowne Club. Besides being an engaging speaker and natural storyteller,
he is networking in action.
Watch and learn.
We're delighted to host him.
You won't want to miss him.

Please come and bring your friends,
colleagues and countrymen.
Kinsgley runs a Networking Training company,
Diaspora Matters Training,
based in Dublin and has developed an international business with clients such as Google, Accenture,
Linkedin, KPMG, PwC, HSBC,
Silicon Valley Bank, AIB and others.
He ran the Ireland Funds for 21 years, mostly based
in Boston and before that he was the Sydney
based representative of Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland. While in Sydney he established the Lansdowne Club
and the Australian Ireland Fund.
Kingsley believes passionately
in the power of Networking and that,
in a rapidly changing world,
it is now more important than ever,
both for companies and individuals.
He has developed a unique 15 module online/offline
Networking Training Programme
which everybody can benefit from.
He points out that schools and colleges don’t teach
Networking and companies don’t have strategies for it
and yet everybody believes it is really important.

He is visiting Sydney and Melbourne
to give a series of workshops
and presentations to companies and organisations
and is interested in developing further business in Sydney.
Not everyone knows:
Kingsley spent a year playing professional rugby in France?

Lansdowne Club Golf Classic - Thursday 8 September 2016

Dear Members

This is our 18th consecutive Golf Classic, we went to The Lakes Golf Club for the first time in 2014 to freshen things up to ensure the event continues to be fun, accessible and unique, and not just another corporate golf day. The day was a great success.

This year we will continue to have our - Qualifying Round, Playoff,  Ambrose Elimination format and of course the Guinness & Irish Coffee bars.  As the earlier 8.00 am start last year proved very successful we will continue with this format, followed by a buffet lunch & presentation ceremony following the playoff, earlier mid-afternoon finish!

We are delighted that we will again host the Golf Classic 2016 on Thursday 8th September at The Lakes Golf Club .  As you will know The Lakes is one of the leading major tournament venues in Australia having recently hosted the Men's Australian Opens in 2010, 2011 & 2012. Located just 10 mins from the CBD it's easy to get to and means you can be back in the office by mid-afternoon or home for an early dinner with the family.

To secure a corporate team spot or individual, just complete the attached Team registration form and return it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as possible.   We expect demand to be high and want to limit the number of teams to an enjoyable & manageable level on the day, so please return your booking form with payment asap to guarantee your spot.

Thanks again for your interest and support and we look forward to another great Golf Classic.

Best wishes

Sabine Hochbaum, Phil O'Sullivan, Niall Power & David Eccles Golf Classic Organising Committee.
