Our St Patrick's Day lunch is the largest in the world attracting 1,000 guests on the day. With great food, entertainment and company it is a wonderful way to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. | The Lansdowne Club celebrated the anniversary of its 21st Birthday on the 31st of October 2007 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour. It was a wonderful and intimate night attended by over 240 people including around 20 of our inaugural members. | Members' Nights are intimate and attended by around 150 people for an opportunity to hear from one of our members. Past speakers have been Fergus Lenihan, Festival Director of the Sydney Festival, Philip Cronin, (Managing Director, Intel) and Paul MeGeough (Reporter, SMH) to name a few. |
The Chairman's Award is presented on St. Patrick's day to members to recognise the life time achievements of a member of the Club.
The inaugural recipients of the Chairman's Award were Gough Whitlam AC, QC & Margaret Whitlam AO (2004), Brian Doyle (2005), Adrian Pilton (2007) and Briege tuite (2008)
