Today the Club has close to 1,000 members – we do not advertise, and membership is through word of mouth, by introduction and through our events. We are delighted to see young professionals make up a good percentage of our members. Many members have attained positions of influence in corporate Australia.

The Lansdowne Club extends the opportunity for people to become members of the Club. If you are interested in becoming a member, please visit the Register Online page. Your membership will be confirmed upon approval.
Membership in the Lansdowne Club was originally reserved for Irish born or Irish educated business men and women living in Australia interested in developing links and contacts within the Irish-Australian Business Community.
In 1997 the Founding Committee, following consultation with the members, extended membership to non Irish born or educated people interested in supporting the aims and essence of the Lansdowne Club. At our members dinner in August 1997 function the Committee invited our first "new" member, Mr Chris Roberts, Managing Director of Arnotts Biscuits Limited, to join the Club.
The Club has developed significantly over the past 21 years. Today, many of our members hold significant positions within the largest corporations in Australia covering hundreds of industries. Our membership numbers are now close to 1,000 and are detailed in our publication "The Lansdowne Club Directory of Irish Business Contacts in Australasia" or within the Directory Pages of our website. The ninth edition of the directory was issued in March 2008.
Non Irish born or educated applicants may be proposed by four existing members and will be reviewed by the Committee to determine the benefit that they can bring to the Club.
